What this label does—and does not—mean
The state has a narrow low-THC/CBD law or legal defense, not a comprehensive medical or adult-use program. It does not answer public use, driving, employment, housing, federal property, tribal jurisdiction, or a city's business rules.
Possession and use
Marijuana possession remains illegal under state law, although small amounts are decriminalized. Tribal law and sales on tribal land are separate and do not change state law elsewhere.
- Public consumption can remain prohibited even when possession is legal.
- Never drive, bike in traffic, boat, or operate machinery while impaired.
- Keep products in their original package and outside the passenger area when transporting within the state.
- Local ordinances and property policies can add restrictions without changing statewide status.
Home cultivation
Cannabis home cultivation is illegal under state law.
Plant counts are only the first layer. Lease terms, owner permission, visibility, locked-area rules, nuisance law, processing limits, and possession of harvested cannabis can each change the practical answer.
Medical access
No comprehensive statewide medical program.
A recommendation, registry card, out-of-state card, or diagnosis does not create identical rights everywhere. Confirm patient eligibility, reciprocity, purchase limits, approved forms, renewal rules, and caregiver rights with the official program.
Buying and retail status
No statewide legal marijuana market.
Use the state regulator's live license lookup where available. A website, delivery claim, hemp label, social-media account, or storefront sign is not proof of a marijuana license.
What you need to buy legally
No legal recreational purchase route
This state has no licensed statewide adult-use marijuana market. A medical card or an out-of-state card does not authorize a recreational purchase.
No comprehensive medical purchase program
How to qualify: The state does not issue a comprehensive medical-marijuana purchasing credential. A card bought online does not create a legal purchase right here.
The narrow epilepsy provision is not a statewide dispensary program. Tribal sales do not create a state purchasing credential off tribal land.
At the dispensary: There is no state medical credential to present for a marijuana purchase.

Only the credential, certification, recommendation, or registry process recognized by this state can authorize medical purchasing. Private evaluation services do not replace state approval where approval is required.
